The New House
section of the Seminary had by this time developed into a u-shape,

the refectory wing , the Presidents rooms
and priests dining-room were

main buildings
assumed the shape of a hollow rectangle
enclosing a cloister yard,
as shown
in
the
1893 OS map.
1914

east-west wing- was added to the Palace annexe,
comprising an oratory, professors’ rooms and
dormitory.
1892:
Canon O’Leary completed the major 1892
extension with a new dormitory, refectory and kitchens..
1934-5:
The three
storey
Brosnan building
was added
in the Presidency of Canon Denis Brosnan.
It was a major undertaking involving not only
the addition of seven classrooms, a science lab, study-hall, priests’ rooms,
showers and toilets but also the demolition of the northern section of the main
building to make way for a new kitchen, store-rooms, maids’ rooms and
infirmary.
1954-5
:
In the presidency of Canon O’Neill the new
oratory was built at the eastern end of the Brosnan Building.
This extension also included living quarters
for priests on the staff.
